LDI 2008
FTSI won the award for "Best Product Presentation" at the 2008 LDI. Below is a video of the award-winning booth roof. The roof of the booth was composed of four individual trusses, each suspended by two FTSI F-Series winches, for a total of eight machines. The motion of the roof was programmed using the new 3D mesh manipulation component of the Navigator 3D Space programming environment, a new feature which allows large flexible structures to be moved, twisted, and contorted as a coherent planar shape without needing to program the motion of each winch individually, making it incredibly quick and easy to produce breathtaking large-scale effects. This technology is available for flexible planar structures of any shape and size--check with FTS Rentals or FTSI Automation for rental and sales opportunities.

Detroit Auto Show GM Lift
This video is from the Detroit Auto show in 2001. FTSI designed, built, programmed and supervised the installation of this impressive rotating car lift. The whole turntable is balanced on a single 8” beam to give it the light and airy look. The motion has to be perfectly coordinated between the two sides to prevent binding.
It performed flawlessly at the show.
The design was created by Scott Fisher from a concept by Showman Fabricators.

B'z 2008 LIVE-GYM Tour
B'z DMX Light Pods
This is footage from a B’z concert in Japan. This clip gives a very cool example of the Light Pod DMX system at work. This showcases the ability of Navigator to coordinate with lighting controls systems. Navigator receives DMX data from the light board and translates it to “dance” the lights in connection with the music being rocked out on stage below. Navigator is being used to control Showrig winch motors.
This design was conceived and produced by Marc Fisher.
