Saftey and Flexibility
The FTSI ESE-1 Estop Controller is a new approach to the implementation of emergency stop systems for automation equipment in theater, theme parks, touring events, and other entertainment venues. In the past, Estop systems have consisted of basic hardwired loops, providing little or no feedback to the operator and no means of easy expansion or reconfiguration. The FTSI system solves many of these problems by providing Estop control in a modular, networked, rackmount package. Each device can provide Estop control out to machinery, accept Estop inputs from remote stations or other sources, or any mix of those two modes across nine individual channels or "ports" of control. Also, a port may be connected to the Master input port on any other ESE-1 unit, providing the means for unlimited combinations of star or daisy chained topography of the Estop system. Additional units, machines, or stations can be added as simply as plugging into the port and enabling that port via the front panel toggle switches. Every unit is also fully integrated with the Navigator automation system, providing the system operator with instant identification of incoming Estop commands as well as full diagnostic, event logging, and complete status display capabilities. The ESE-1 controller and its accessories make any Estop system design simple and reliable.
