PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThe Experience Music Project is part Rock and Roll museum, part ongoing live event. Founded by Paul Allen (yes, that Paul Allen) EMP is located next to the space needle in Seattle Washington and continues to provide interactive and interpretive exhibits as well as hosting live music events.
Although the space has been reallocated in the years since opening, FTSI was in on the ground floor providing control automation, rigging, and mechanical effects for "The Artists Journey".
Located in a "corner" of this Frank O. Gehry building "The Artist's Journey" was a motion ride based trip through the history of rock and roll. FTSI provided the automated controls, winch assisted counterweight rigging, and custom mechanical effects including an 18 foot diameter functional iris.
